Drill pipe is a heavy, seamless tube can rotate the drill bit and circulates drilling fluid. It allows the drilling fluid to be pumped through the bit and back up the annulus. The pipe is subject to axial tension, extremely high torque and high internal pressure.

Drill Pipe is durable steel pipe used in drilling activities, standards in API 5DP and API SPEC 7-1.

Drill pipe is an important components for drilling rig to extract oil or other liquids from down ground. It is not used for extraction, instead, the hollow tubes pump drilling fluids downward to the bit and back out again as needed to reduce friction and heat buildup. Drill pipe transferred drilling torque to drill bit for drilling under the oil well. It bears complicated strength subject to pulling, loading, pressing, torsion and bending.

Manufacturing Technique

	Drill pipe, tool joint raw material The material adopts high-performance alloy steel according to USA API standard and strictly checked by chemical content, metallographic structure, geometric dimension, NDT tests etc to ensure the stable quality of the products.
Process of drill pipe body Pipe end is upsetted by USD National Oil Well equipment with 1250tons weight. heating treatment is process by oven-type automatic furnace, then straigtened by 6 rollers straigtening machine, whole courese hardness test and ultrasonic inspection.
	Tool joint process Tool joint is processd by 1500T gaint pressure forging machine to ensure the quality of joint for high compactness, cleanness, hard wear resistance, homogenization of excellent mechanical performance.
process of friction welding  Adopts USA MTI equipment for friction welding, automatic computer control, heat treatment, grinding, magnetic particle inspection to guarantee high quality of the finish products.
	Process of hardbending Arnco, TCS TI, LW600 are available according to customer requirement. the finished hardbending processes with high hardness nd non-cracking character.
Process of internal coating Our internal coating varieties are LPC1000, LPC3000, LPC5000, LPC5000P etc. we can aslo be outsourced processing TK34, DPC, TC2000 series of internal coating.
